Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics and Dynamics by Ferdinand Beer, Jr. E. Russell Johnston, Elliot Eisenberg, Phillip Cornwell Review
The authors of this statics and dynamics book have been writing it for a long time, and I could tell while using it. Their discussions are straight forward, concise, and use excellent diagrams to illustrate the concepts. The overall formatting of the book makes it easy to read and reference. The chapter section examples are good, easy to follow, varied, and progressively become more challenging like the problems. At the end of each section is a summary/outline with useful insights and procedures for approaching the problems that follow. The end of chapter summaries are good review. The images throughout the textbook are top notch. The authors use standard units and both the U.S. customary and standard international (SI) units. Useful reference tables are provided such as reaction forces, centroids, moments of inertia, and mass moments of inertia. If you are looking for more information about Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Statics and Dynamics by Ferdinand Beer, Jr. E.
